On Friday evening, January 22, 2010, Amylia and Dorian Saunders, our dear friends and NAA associates on the Lampe Team, home in St. Louis, MO, was destroyed by fire.
Thankfully, they and their two teenage children, and their pets are uninjured. Their home, however, was damaged beyond repair.
Their kitchen was destroyed. Everything else was smoke and water damaged. Their family is out of a home for more than a month, and maybe a few months. The kitchen damage alone is probably $30,000 and the amount to repair the rest of the house will total over $50,000 including cleaning, painting, and new carpet throughout the house.
What is really important is that they are all with us. It may take time, but the majority of things can be replaced. People can't.
Because of our chosen mission to protect families' homes, we are especially know how sad it is to lose your home and those items that hold so many dear memories.
If you'd like to express your love for Amylia and Dorian, and their family, and share it with others in our extended NAA family, you can add your comments below.
Please let Amylia and Dorian know that we care and we're here for them.
